China is getting serious about disturbing North Natuna from Indonesia's hands and even preparing its nuclear bomber, Xian H-6.
China's recklessness in upholding the Nine Dash Line claim that it annexed part of Indonesia's North Natuna is truly barbaric because they built a military base where the Xian H-6 nuclear bomber was nested there.
Xian H-6 itself is indeed the backbone of China's current air power to enforce its claims in Indonesia's North Natuna and other regions in Southeast Asia. It is admitted that until now the Chinese military has not been able to contain its aggressiveness even if the ASEAN fighting forces are united.
The PLA Daily several years ago reported that China had been building a military base on Fiery Cross Reef since 2014.
Fiery Cross Reef itself was originally just a coral reef that protrudes to the surface of the sea and is located in the Spratly Islands.
Beijing deliberately made a base there because to support all its military activities. There is a 3.3 km long airstrip, enough to land a variety of commercial and military aircraft.
The base also built various basic necessities for the Chinese army such as housing, logistics and weapons warehouses.
Every now and then a Chinese supply ship came there to send supplies back to his troops. There is also a port next to the runway so that frigates and destroyers can dock at Fiery Cross Reef. The most dangerous is the Xian H-6 nuclear bomber there.
China can deploy the Xian H-6 because its cruising radius reaches 1,800 - 6,000 km, which is enough for pacing back and forth in Natuna.
The weapons carried by Xian H-6 are no joke, namely the Dongfeng -21D Ballistic Missile or the CJ-100 supersonic missile with a firing radius of 1,500 km.
The long cruising radius and carrying deadly missiles seems to be a clear warning for Indonesia. This base is located just 700 km north of Natuna Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Indonesia does not want to lose to China. They built a composite battalion in Natuna as a form of self-defense from Chinese attacks.
Moreover, Indonesia also places a variety of defense equipment in Natuna. However, it seems difficult for Indonesia to have to ward off the attack of the Chinese Xian H-6 nuclear bomber if it invades North Natuna.
