US defense officials say Russia has experienced a high failure rate in a series of precision-guided missile launches into Ukraine. The failure rate is 60%.
The data is considered to be able to explain why Russia is still failing to achieve its goals after one month of launching the invasion.
Speaking to Reuters on condition of anonymity, US officials unfortunately provided no evidence to support the assessment and did not reveal what exactly prompted Russia's high missile failure rate.
Some of the types of failures reported can include anything. Starting from a failed launch to a missile that failed to explode when it hit the target.

Citing US intelligence, officials say Russia's failure rate varies from day to day, depending on the type of missile launched. There are times when it exceeds 50% to 60%.
One of the officials said intelligence showed that Russian air-launched cruise missiles had a failure rate in the range of 20% to 60%, depending on the day.
Earlier this week the Pentagon assessed that Russia had launched more than 1,100 missiles of all kinds since the war began.
According to the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) think tank Missile Defense Project, Russia has been seen fielding two types of air-launched cruise missiles in Ukraine, the Kh-555 and the Kh-101.
The US believes Russia fired an air-launched cruise missile from Russian airspace earlier this month when it attacked a Ukrainian military base near the Polish border. The attack killed 35 people, according to Ukrainian authorities.
Missile strikes have become characteristic of the Russian invasion that began on February 24. Russia announced that its attacks were aimed at military targets. Despite the fact that there were many civilian casualties.
