Crews of more than three dozen infantry
fighting vehicles stopped the enemy
offensive, destroying his armored
vehicles with anti-tank missile systems. They also showed their skills in
overcoming water obstacles having worked
out exercises on getting in and out of
the water and driving afloat.
BMP-2 is a tracked infantry fighting
vehicle designed to transport personnel
to the front edge. Increase their
mobility armament and security on the
battlefield in conditions of the use of
nuclear weapons and joint actions with
tanks in battle.
The main armament is a 30 m automatic
rifled cannon with an ammunition load of
500 rounds. The canon is paired with a 7.62
millimeters machine gun with 2000 rounds
of ammunition.
In addition to combat tanks the BMP-2
has an atgm faggo or concourse with four
shots to it. Also the vehicle is equipped with six
grenade launchers of the tucca smoke
screen for firing 81mm smoke grenades.
