KF-21 Boramae is a common development design of the KF-21 fighter aircraft carried out by South Korea and Indonesia with a development cost of8.8 trillion won since 2015.
Indonesia has agreed to invest1.7 trillion won or 20 percent of the total design cost, and for that it'll acquire a KF-21 Boramae fighter from South Korea and transfer technology to be suitable to produce 48 units of the coming generation fighter domestically.
According to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) on Monday (11/15/2021), design costs were cut from8.6 trillion won to8.1 trillion won.
Jakarta, which promised to cover 20 percent of the total cost in exchange for a prototype and transfer of specialized information and product of 48 aircraft, had to pay1.6 trillion won, down from the former1.7 trillion won.
Thanks to Indonesia's donation to the KF-21 Boramae fighter spurt design, South Korea made a new history for its country.
Although there were problems with payments from Indonesia, the KF-21 Boramae design is in fact still running until now.
Now, the progress of the development of the KF-21 Boramae fighter spurt is reported to have reached the stage of airman testing and performance testing. This is as quoted from an composition published byTheguru.co.kr on December 31, 2021.
"Korea Aerospace Diligence is accelerating the development of the prototype KF-21 Boramae, a Korean fighter aircraft that KAI is promoting as a unborn core business. Airman evaluation and injection performance tests were carried out on Unit 3".
KAI conducted PVI ( airman evaluation) and ground tests for innards and surface lighting for the KF-21 Unit 3 Prototype in the machine test structure for 4 weeks from November 1 to 26, 2021.
In the cockpit PVI test, the interface between the airman and the factors ( fitness of placement/ manipulation and consonance, etc.), ground escape procedures, and ejection concurrence are estimated.
In addition, through lighting tests, lighting measures and airman evaluations are carried out to determine whether the innards and surface lighting of the cockpit is suitable for aircraft operation.
Seven Air Force aviators and seven Korean Air aviators shared in the evaluation, and we saw it in the terrain day and night.
KAI said,"The opinion of the airman attained through this ground test will go through common review and discussion to produce a further optimal shape of the KF-21 cockpit."
