Today philippine air force get five more S-70i black hawks. The philippine air force on tuesday said
it received five additional s70 by
blackhawk helicopters at clark air base
on last monday. In a statement the PAF said the black
hawks from poland are part of the third
and final batch delivered by polish
aerospace firm PZL Melech to the
military.
These helicopters will complete PAF's
fleet of 16 Blackhawk Helicopters. it
added the first batch of six units was
delivered in november 2020 followed by
the second batch of five units in june
this year that was formally turned over
in a ceremony on october 13th. For the PAF the set of helicopters will
boost the AFP's capability for various
operations such as humanitarian
assistance and disaster response
missions.
AFP deploys four new black hawk choppers
in eastern Mindanao. The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has deployed four new S-70i black hawk
helicopters to the eastern mindanao
command to strengthen military combat
operations, humanitarian assistance and
disaster response during calamities. In a statement the AFP said the four new
air assets arrived at the eastern
mindanao command on last thursday
november 4th. Two were stationed at tactical
operations wing eastern Mindanao Toeim
in Davao City while another two at
tactical operations group ten
headquarters in Kegen De Oro.
Eastern mindanao commander Lieutenant General Greg Almeral said the new air
assets will intensify the troops
mobility in the fight against the
communist groups and humanitarian
assistance during natural calamities and
disasters. The arrival of these black hawk choppers
happened at a very opportune time to aid
our hard-working troops in the pursuit
of genuine peace and development in
eastern mindanao.
Almerol said there is no doubt that these air
capabilities will improve the conduct of
military operations against the
communist groups and other threat groups
both on land and sea. he added
the AFP said the S-70i black hawk
helicopter is the latest in the family
of black hawk multi-mission aircraft
built by Poland-Based Sikorsky Aircraft Subsidiary PZL Meelac. These air assets can be configured
according to specific missions including
troops transport and air assault, command
and control, border patrol, search and
rescue disaster response, cargo lift and

Military deploys blackhawk choppers to
eight operations in western mindanao. Two blackhawk helicopters acquired by
the military were deployed to western
mindanao on thursday to aid the
operations of troops in the region. The S-70i blackhawk utility helicopters
flew over Samboanga City before they
were received by the Tactical Operations Wing Western Mindanao (TOWWM) the air
force unit under the western mindanao
command westmincom at the edwin andrews
air base.
The helicopters will be used to perform
various missions including combat
support and quick response operations
for humanitarian aid in the region, according to the westmincom on friday.
"We are very grateful that the top brass
considered the deployment of these air
assets which will greatly contribute to
the accomplishment of our missions here
in western mindanao", said western income Commander Major General Alfredo Rosario
jr.
Expect that with the deployment of
the black hawk helicopters in our unit
our operations will greatly improve as
these helicopters have larger capacity
and more impressive horsepower allowing
a faster and longer range transport. In addition the said helicopters have
the ability to absorb high impact
velocities enabling it to withstand
