Northrop Grumman Corp posted a video of
an aircraft hangar on november 1st, some
of which actually exist and some are
just concepts. Among the latter is a large
inconspicuous aircraft without vertical
tail. Suitable for the description of a
fighter of the ngad program.
The video itself is 15 seconds long. in
the course of the action the elevator
lowers the girl into the hangar the
doors open then close again. As a result the plane can be seen in a
matter of moments, it can be noted that the new aircraft is
very large unobtrusive and without
vertical tail unit
According to the drive this is similar
to the platform of the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) program. The program implies the creation of a
family of systems including unmanned
aerial vehicles and manned long-range
ones included in tactical weapons. The fighter shown in the video meets the
requirements of this program. The outline of the plane suggests that
it is difficult to find and apparently
easy to lose.
By the way it can be both unmanned and
controlled according to the authors of
the article. it also slightly resembles the model 401
aircraft developed by scaled composites
a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman. In particular the pointed white nose
looks like one of northrop grumman's new
slave and Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) concepts available. One version of this apparatus is based
on the model 401 and the other is its
derivative.
However the plane looks like a painted
one. by the way the quality of the video
itself is very low which is rather
strange for such a large company.
Commentators on the internet
sarcastically point out that in this way
the company hides the poor drawing and
the very concept of the aircraft. There is a version that this is the new F-A-X-X. In her favor is the fact that it has a
two-wheeled front landing gear which no
air force fighter has as one of the
users claims.
By the way there are also planes in the
video far left is an unmanned combat
aircraft with a flying wing very similar
to the up-and-coming X-47B glider
demonstrators. There is also a B2 spirit, far in the
background B-21 raider or RQ-180 seem to
be taking off, rear right EA-18G Growler, E2D Hawkeye the latest
early warning and control aircraft
and finally the MQ4C Triton a derivative
of the Q4 global hawk for maritime
surveillance. The authors of the article conclude that
the corporation is simply having fun, teasing users with such videos.
