The Google Threat Analyst Group on Wednesday (30/3) reported on the activity of Russian hackers on the NATO digital network. Not only that, hackers also act in the military systems of Eastern European countries.
Reporting from Reuters, Google identified a group called Coldriver, or Callisto, based in Russia as the mastermind of the hack.
However, Google still has not explained in detail which military is being targeted in what it calls a "credential phishing campaign".

"This campaign was sent using a newly created Gmail account to a non-Google account, so the success rate of this campaign is unknown," Google said in the report.
Furthermore, Google also said Callisto had targeted the NATO Center of Excellence.
In a statement, the center did not directly respond to Google's report. However, they admit that they see dangerous cyber activity every day.
Since its invasion of Ukraine late last month, Russia has consistently denied allegations of carrying out cyber attacks against Western countries.
The Callisto group that Google is tracking this time has a long track record of hacking into national defense networks.
In 2019, Finnish cybersecurity firm F-Secure Labs described Callisto as an unknown threat actor interested in gathering intelligence related to foreign and security policy in Europe.
