It is not impossible that a Russian missile could land in NATO territory but it is highly unlikely, Britain's health minister Sajid Javid said Monday.
He added that the alliance would respond if it did happen.
When asked about the possibility of Russian missiles landing on NATO territory after a weekend attack on a Ukrainian military training base near Poland,
Javid told BBC Radio: "It's not impossible ... but I still think at this stage it's very unlikely."
"We have made it clear to Russia, even before the start of this conflict, that even if a single step by Russia entered into NATO territory, it would be considered an act of war," he added.
