Russian Peacekeepers Ensure Safe Movement of Civillian Transport Along the Lachin Corridor in Karabakh

The servicemen talked with local residents in the ascarin region and escorted about 15 convoys through the latch and corridor. Russian peacekeepers marched 300 kilometers along the contact line this week while monitoring the observance of the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Our servicemen on armoured vehicles patrol the roads and settlements, in particular they visited the ascarin region where they talked with local residents.

They also escorted about 15 convoys through the latch and corridor. At 27 observation posts russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring of the situation and control over the observance of the ceasefire regime.

To coordinate efforts to prevent possible incidents in the zone of responsibility of the russian peacekeeping contingent, continuous interaction is maintained with the general staffs of the armed forces of azerbaijan and armenia.

In accordance with the agreement specified in the joint statement of the president of the russian federation, the president of the republic of azerbaijan and the prime minister of the republic of armenia from 01:00 moscow time on november 10/2020 a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were announced.

A peacekeeping contingent of the russian federation is deployed to control the ceasefire and military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh.
